|"The MA in Studio Art is a 30-credit program that enables post-baccalaureate students to remain current in their field and strengthen their portfolio for admission into a terminal studio degree program. K-12 Art teachers typically attend part-time while teaching, enriching their studio art practice and professional credentials. MA students select a studio concentration while exploring additional topics through studio and academic electives. Our MA graduates include many successful K-12 teachers throughout the region."- Dr. Terry McKelveyProgram Head|
The Master of Arts degree is designed to further develop the artistic competencies for the post baccalaureate student. Students achieve a depth of study by enrolling in at least 12 credits in a specific discipline over the course of the degree. Many M.A. degree students are public school teachers and/or artists seeking to remain current in their field.
